Jay Simmons

Vice President

Team-centered and mission-focused, Jay is a seasoned executive with over 20+ years of experience driving new levels of sustainable efficiency, team unification, and overall organizational success. To date, he holds an extensive background involving strategic management, high-profile networking, cross-functional leadership, and is passionate about cultivating healthy workplace environments with an open-door mindset. Applying this as Vice President of Physician Services at The Physicians Alliance Corporation, Jay aims to exceed internal and stakeholder objectives and do so in such a way that ultimately propels growth capacities and larger-picture community initiatives forward.

Prior to joining The Physicians Alliance Corporation in 2022, Jay built a large inventory of experiences that contributed to my professional dynamicity in healthcare. Notably, this includes former directorship in the healthcare technology sector, practice, and program management, merger & acquisition supervision, as well as supporting the success of key functions like workflow development and securing medical provider communication on a national scale through clinical system upgrades. More formerly, he served as Provisions Group’s Director of Healthcare beginning in 2020, where he had the pleasure of leading a national team, oversaw organic growth and all technical processes, and held a firm pulse on the deployment of multiple EHRs and practice management systems. These tenures were in tandem with his heavy involvement as a still active licensed private pilot.

Throughout his career, he has been able to sustainably close the gaps in technological demands in healthcare, streamline communications, and ultimately advance operational capabilities without sacrificing people-centralism. Applying this same level of innovation and passion to Physicians Alliance has resulted in the company becoming a nationally trusted resource in Accountable Care Organization (ACO) services, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), and infrastructure reform. Complemented with transparency, it has also led to a measurable employee retention rate of 97.5%. This has all been achieved by introducing cutting-edge technologies, building external/internal relationships that align with enterprise priorities, and addressing every project using the highest standards of strategic leadership, service excellence, and professional integrity.

Academically, Jay earned a BS in Mass Communications from Freed-Hardeman University and an MS in Information Systems Management from American Sentinel College. He is also a strong advocate for healthcare accessibility and patient care and enjoys supporting the push for productive futures by focusing on meaningful progressions today. Outside of Physicians Alliance Corporation, this is demonstrated through humanitarian work as the Executive Director and Board Member of Grace and Glory, an organization that focuses on helping children in Lanzac, Haiti, and repeatedly traveling with The Raining Season to Sierra Leon with the mission to help build a better foundation for children in Africa.
